Happy 10th Birthday Addy!!

Screaming HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY to my Maeflower!! The one who made me a mom. My little patriots fan. My artist. My animal lover. My baker. My wildflower. My dreamer. My chatter box. My sweet mixed in with sour. One of the best parts of me........My Addison Mae. Double digits!! My heart could explode in excitement for you, but I also feel sad that you're growing up so fast. I have gotten to love you and watch you grow and change for an entire decade. Each year you grow more and more beautiful, taller, sweeter, funnier, smarter, braver, smart mouthed and......I could just go on and on. Each year you grow more and more into you and less and less of me. More and more an adult and less and less a child. I'm so glad you're mine!! You love so fiercely and have such a big heart, unfortunately you have a BIG attitude to match some days. I cannot wait to see what this year brings for you. I hope it's great as we start some new adventures. But please,

If you don't change you do not grow,

But I waved the thought away,

That proves it's nothing to be scared of,

For a day afraid to turn to night,

Will miss the silver moon,

And a flower that refuses to change,

Will never get to bloom,

I had thought I was a thorn bush,

Only good for snagging clothes,

But if you do not dare to change,

You'll never find out you're a rose.
