All Things Fall
"And all at once, summer collapsed into fall."
This weekend was so much fun! Busy and exhausting, but fun! We just got to be together as a family and do all basic fall things! We just simply got to enjoy each others company and be present. We went to a cider mill where we drank hot cider and ate donuts, then we went apple picking and got lost in a corn maze! We lost the kids at some point in the maze and Ben and I ended up finding the exit and laid down in the grass with each other and waited for the kids to make their appearance, they could have ran around for hours in there- their little legs were tired though once they found the exit.
It's been a tradition since Addy was a baby to go apple picking in the fall. I'm trying to enjoy all these moments because one day the kids will be all grown and not want to apple pick with mom and dad. So I'm just soaking in all these moments I get with them.
When we went apple picking, the apples were all so big and juicy and there were still so many to pick from on the trees! Later that evening we went for a cookout with all the family, had a bonfire, drank hard cider and danced our hearts out to some country music. We made some really great memories this weekend!
