Autumn Walk
The kids came home from school and I had this craving of getting out of the house with them and going for a nice walk outside to enjoy the fresh October air. We hurried up, finished math problems and got dinner prepared so all I had to do was start it.
We walked down to the bridge near our house and threw "helicopters" (maple tree seeds) off of the bridge and into the water below and watched them spin and float down to the water and then the water would carry them away to disappear down stream, once in awhile one would catch the wind just right and float back up, spinning and spinning around above our heads. The kids collected and made me a beautiful colorful bouquet of leafs. Then we continued on and walked through downtown. They have these instruments all around town to play with and we stopped to check this one out that we haven’t used before and then we continued into our "bunny" park as the kids call it. I asked Ben to pick us up on his way home from work so I could get dinner started. As we started to leave and head for the parking lot to meet him in his truck, there he was, appearing through the trees to join us for a few minutes. What a nice surprise and sight that was to see! xoxo
