Hello November

Oh sweet November. Quickly and quietly taking leadership from October while we say fair well to all her colors, warmth and business. November, the eleventh month, what does November have to offer? It offers stillness. The time of year to slow down and start taking stock, to make the journey of turning inward and focus on whats important. To count our blessings. To be thankful. A time to take a step back, hold onto what you hold dear to your heart and to let go of everything else that overwhelms you and makes you unhappy, even when it's hard sometimes to let go. A time to slow down and take a look at your life. Where the colors of the world disappear to stem back up in the sowing season and we are left with a hollow shell. We are left with October's mess, cluttering the yards and street sides like a blanket. You're left with solid hard grounds and the fresh, quiet, cold air you can feel in your lungs and see with each breath. Where the song of the birds resettle to the sultry land. Where everything gets ready to endure through winter-tide. Let's take advantage of this time. Reflect, cuddle up, cleanse, spend quality time, slow down and let go.

" It was November- the month of crimson sunsets, parting birds, deep, sad hymns of the sea, passionate wind-songs in the pines. Anne roamed through the pine land alleys in the park and, as she said, let that great sweeping wind blow the fogs out of her soul."
L.M. Montgomery
