Too much Monday, not enough coffee
Too much Monday, not enough coffee- still on my first cup over here. I have never ever been a morning person, and I wish I was. I can't help to think about how much I can accomplish all in a mornings time, instead I drag my feet. I'm lucky if I'm showered and dressed before noon during the week. It's a curse, but working second shift does not help this cause. I have so many plans and not enough motivation or time. Still trying to get boxes unpacked from moving in July. I'm hoping to hunker down this winter and get it all done so I can enjoy the spring and summer with my family instead of wondering when I will get everything done.
Why does the weekend seem to just fly by recently? Maybe to much to do and never enough time? And we had the time change over here on the East Coast and got an extra hour- you would never tell.
Here it is Monday again, hello old friend. I got my first glimpse of frost this morning glimmering in the morning sunshine. And of course the time change has everyone thrown off so I was up an hour earlier then I had to be, so I got to soak in some kid sleeping time. Cam always ends up in our bed, never fails. So I got to give him kisses on his plump little cheeks and watch his lips turn upward into smiles, I held his small hand in mine and felt his smooth, delicate skin underneath my weathered fingers and watched him stretch the sleep away before he was up for the day acting like the wild one he is. My youngest. My baby. Could possibly be my last born, so I will soak in all these mornings like this I can while they last.
Ben has been gone to work for a few hours now working hard and I'm sure he's scrambling around because well-it's Monday and I'm sure there is a lot to get done for the week, the kids are off to school filling their open minds with all new facts and solving problems and I will be throwing on my scrubs and be headed to work before I know it. It was a good weekend. We finally gave in and bought the fire pit we wanted and we could not be any happier!!! I put it together all by myself, so I am pretty proud of it. I failed at getting a fire going, but I did get it started and Ben kept it going for me. We got to sit around the fire Saturday night and enjoy the flames dancing and the heat and watch it burn down to mere ember, oh this is what we have longed for all summer long! Ben got to paint his truck he's been fixing up to eventually use as a on site work truck-I'm pretty proud of him for that also.We went out to breakfast Sunday morning around the corner from our house with some of our tribe and enjoyed a few Bloody Marys- it's been awhile, then we did a little thrifting. We went on a nice hike with even more of our tribe to the very top of a hill and man the views are gorgeous. You can see miles over the tree tops. These pictures don't do it justice even if I was trying to capture the view. Other than that we didn't do to much else this weekend.
