I Am From Poem

I Am From

I am from shelves of books.
From coffee mugs and photographs.
I am from two crazy brothers and monster trucks.
I am from the dandelions.
The weeping willow whose long gone limbs I remember as if they were my own.
I am from family dinners and beach walks.
From my mom and grandma.
I'm from adventures and blanket forts.
 From climbing trees and hunting.
I am from "I love yous" and "be good".
From "be kind" and "hush little baby".
I'm from Cape Cod waves and New Hampshire mountains.
I'm from the East Coast and Irish luck.
Kiss cookies and steak with mashed potatoes.
From birthday parties,
cupcakes in faces.
Flowers in my hair and
Seaglass in my heart.
