Zoo

Image
Over here melting from this heat wave and praying for some rain soon! We picked today for the zoo because it was suppose to be cooler than yesterday. It may have been hotter! I think between all of us we must have drank a small lake in the amount of water we had today and every bathroom break the boys soaked their heads to stay cool. All in all we had fun. After the zoo we pulled into the park and had a picnic lunch and the kids played red light green light. It’s so nice to have all the cousins together!

Jurassic Park

July 25th 2020 Day 140 of Corona Season Midday, we started off on an adventure though the woods- through dinosaur territory. We made contact with unusual species and researched them. Some subjects seem to be friendly. We all made it out alive, without a scratch on us. We even found water to cool off from the blistering summer heat. Here is my documentation of my studies..........

Sunflowers

I LOVE LOVE LOVE sunflowers. There is just something about them. They are so bright and beautiful and just scream summertime. Anyways, a few towns away is a farm. They grow fields of sunflowers every summer and cut and sell them. The money goes toward the make a wish foundation. This event is next week, we usually go every year. We took a visit to the fields this past weekend, but may have to go again to get some sunflowers. This year it will be cut your own sunflowers for a fee, they usually have them already cut for you to buy. After the event is over, they let the cows in to eat the left over sunflowers. There is also homemade ice cream. So we sat down in the grass and enjoyed some ice cream then went off to explore the fields.

Petting Zoo

I'm always on the internet searching for little places to take the kids- most the time my research pays off. I found this sweet little farm 15 minutes away that's a free petting zoo and if we pay $1 we can get a cone with grain and feed the animals. The baby goats slide through the fences and come out to visit. We fell so in love with them and the giant bunny!! We went twice last week, once with cousins! The best part is that no one else was really there!
