Yesterday we took a delicious field trip to go apple picking. We picked apples, went in a corn maze where I lost the kids. We ate apple cider donuts and got apple cider slushies. It's officially fall around here (except for the one 80 degree day we choose to apple pick) so we can embrace all the fall things and not feel guilty that it's still summer. After apple picking, we went home and learnt about Johnny Appleseed and we made our own little apple anatomy books and colored them while we ate our freshly picked apples. Today we are finishing up schoolwork then our weekly nature walk with cousins. I love that the weather has cooled down a bit and we can actually enjoy being outside. "Oh, the Lord's been good to me, and so I thank the Lord, for giving me the things I need, the Sun, the Rain, the Appleseed the Lord's been good to me."
